INVeg Community Give-A-Thon

In this time of reflection, we want to remember how each of us has the ability to make a better world. This Give-A-Thon is a program where members of our community can win one of 4 great weekly prizes ($50 Gift cards to vegan businesses or $50 donation to their favorite animal sanctuary). You may choose your prize at the bottom of the entry form. The purpose of this program is to stimulate the organizations and businesses who give to us year around. We also want to shine light on those to have chosen to give with their heart by preforming acts of kindness towards others in the community. For each type of giving that you have preformed, you receive entries for the drawing. The first drawing will be on Monday April 13th, followed by 20th, 27th and May 4th.  Drawing will be after 5pm each week, so get your entry in soon so you are in the drawing all 4 weeks.

No purchase is necessary. Everyone is free to enter this contest.

Eligibility: Anyone in Eastern Washington, Idaho or Montana is eligible for this event. There are no age requirements but if the winner is under 18, a parent or guardian will need to receive the gift. Complete rules are at the bottom of the page.

UPDATE 4/7/2020: RÜT Bar & Kitchen has added gift cards to their website. So you can support all 4 of the vegan businesses.
Here are the links to the RÜT  & Glorious online stores. Allie’s and Boot’s can be purchased in store when you pick up your order.

New INVeg community programs this spring and beyond,

Veg Speed Meeting: After this hibernation time is over we are finally going to produce our  Vegan Speed Meet events. These have been on the drawing board for 2 years and it is time for them to happen.  It will be set up similar to vegan speed dating but all are welcome to join. The purpose is to build a more healthful community and get to know each other better. They will be taking place at the Spokane Woman’s Club. If we get enough people who are single, we may also create vegan speeding meeting events for the community. Like all INVeg events, these events will be free to the community. All are welcome.

Kind Cooking Classes: We also will be bringing back the Kind Cooking Classes at the Spokane Woman’s Club. This is a partnership program with the Spokane Woman’s Club. Each night we will have local vegan chefs teaching us how to become more skilled in the kitchen. We also focus on learning how to be more frugal with our food budgets. After we create the food there will be a potluck following each class. Everyone is always welcome so bring your friends and families. The Woman’s Club will provide child care if any parents bring their kiddos.

Kind Pantry: We have been wanting to develop the Kind Pantry program for Spokane. What is a kind pantry? Kind Pantries are a vegan food pantry available to anyone in need. We are looking for a donated space to house the pantry. If you have a commercial space in the central Spokane area, please let us know. We want the space to be easy to access by public transit and also accessible 24/7. Our plan is to use a digital lock so people can use the pantry when they need. Please write kindness@kindliving.org if you have a location available. We will also be needing shelves, chest freezer and commercial fridge before it opens.

Potlucks: We chose in January to take a pause on the potlucks after 7 straight years without a break. We will bring them back, probably in a different layout.

Crosswalk: We are still looking for more volunteers to take on the responsibility of feeding the youth at Crosswalk once a month. Please email us at crosswalk@kindliving.org if you would like to be on the crosswalk team.

VegFest: Spokane Vegfest is on July 25th and Dr. Greger plus an all star cast will be joining us this year. You will not want to miss it!
